We exist to guide women toward scriptural wisdom, foster lasting sisterhood, and equip leaders to build spaces where every woman can pull up a chair and thrive.
From a Personal Dream to a Seed-Planting Movement
Her-table was born out of a deep passion to bring women together. Like many ministry endeavors, our journey began with big dreams—including hosting a regional women's conference. But when that initial event didn't unfold as planned, God used the disappointment to reveal a profound spiritual truth.
In 1 Corinthians 3:6–9, the Apostle Paul writes: 'I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.'
We realized that success in God's kingdom isn't measured by filling a single stadium; it is measured by faithful seed-planting. God shifted our assignment from carrying the weight of hosting every event ourselves to becoming a strategic catalyst—equipping pastors, ministry leaders, and everyday women to build, structure, and host their own thriving ministries, retreats, and gatherings. When we plant and water together, God faithfully provides the growth.
Dr. Marilyn Myers brings a rare and powerful combination of executive rigor, educational expertise, and pastoral heart to Her-table.
With over 23 years of experience in public education—specializing in juvenile justice, dropout prevention, and student support—Marilyn has spent her career advocating for individuals whom society often overlooks. Today, she serves as a Human Resources Manager for a Fortune 500 company, writing corporate curricula and facilitating leadership workshops for women in corporate environments.
Above all her professional credentials, Marilyn is a devoted woman of faith, wife, and mother. Her personal journey includes carrying children in heaven, raising adopted and bonus children, and cherishing her role as a grandmother and godmother. A passionate mentor, she has discipled women across Florida and Maryland, served in international missions in South Africa, and actively advocates for foster care.

With more than two decades of experience driving real change in schools, Kendra Ford combines strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and results-driven project management. She built her reputation in some of Florida's most demanding educational environments, consistently transforming schools through data-driven systems, innovative instructional design, and a steady focus on the whole child.
Her expertise spans all levels of K-12 education, from the classroom to district leadership. As an assistant principal and instructional coach, she led teams to improve academic achievement, reduce dropout rates, and build a positive school culture. Kendra turns complex data into practical strategies, coaches and develops teachers at every stage, and delivers programs that support student and staff success. Whether you need to redesign curriculum, build multi-tiered systems of support, train teachers, or create a climate where students and staff thrive, Kendra is ready to help. Her skills in professional development, collaborative team building, and project management are matched only by her passion for helping schools reach their full potential.

Known to her friends as “the responsible one,” Danielle is a devoted mom and wife who spent twenty years in the financial industry before stepping away to follow God’s calling. She now works as a mental health counselor in Jacksonville, Florida, where her calming presence makes everyone feel like a friend. Danielle also leads ministries within her church, offering support and guidance to those around her. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to faith, family, and helping others find hope and healing.

Shawanda Sampson is a Navy veteran, former youth educator and counselor, and now serves as a detective with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. She’s also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. As a panelist, Shawanda brings the word “forgiveness.” Having endured early violations by a trusted family member and betrayal in family, friendships, and romance, she’s learned firsthand that forgiveness is what truly sets her free. Her ability to forgive is rooted in the forgiveness she received from the cross, and she shares her journey to help others find the same freedom.
